Breadth is thin for a tape that still reads bullish on the index. Only 37% of the 10,281 stocks in the scan hold bull setups—3,850 against 1,899 bear—and the average SCTR of 4.8 says the typical name is nowhere near leadership. SPY tells the same story from the top down: a Confirmed Bull trend with a bull count of just 6, but an SCTR of 7, meaning the index is holding up on structure while momentum underneath is weak. That is a narrow, top-heavy market.
