The average SCTR sits at 5.3, a reading that confirms near-total technical deterioration across the tape. SPY is the extreme case: SCTR 0, zero bull setups. When the index proxy itself scores at the bottom of the scale, it tells you selling pressure has been indiscriminate rather than sector-specific.
